Telangana Police Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 7,437 SI, Constable & ASI Posts

On July 29, 2026, the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board released four notifications for recruitment of Sub Inspector, Police Constable, ASI (Fingerprint Bureau), and Police Constable (Driver & Mechanic) for a total number of 7,437 vacancies, whose distribution are shared below.

Notably, out of total vacancies, 95% are reserved for local candidates in accordance with the Telangana Public Employment, and remaining 5% are open for aspirants from the other states.

Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria to apply for the TSLPRB Recruitment 2026 vary from one another depending on position in terms of educational qualification and age limit. Refer to listed points to check if you can apply for any position.

Educational Qualification 

• SI (Civil), Reserve SI (AR, TGSP & SAR CPL), SI (Special Protection Force) and Deputy Jailor: Graduation in subject from a UGC-recognised university.
• Assistant SI (Fingerprint Bureau): BE or BTech in Information Technology or Computer Science, or BSc in Computer Science or Computer Applications.
• Station Fire Officer: Graduation in any subject from a UGC-recognised university, and valid LMV driving licence.
• Police Constable (Civil, AR & SAR CPL), Constable (Special Protection Force) and Warder: Intermediate (Class 12) from a state or Central board recognised school.
• Fire Fighter: Intermediate (Class 12) from a state or Central board recognised school and valid LMV driving licence.
• Police Constable (Driver): SSC, ITI in any technical trade, and valid Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle and Heavy Goods Vehicle driving licences.
• Police Constable (Mechanic): SSC, and ITI certificate in Auto Electrician, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, or Fitter.

Age Limit:

• SI (Civil), Reserve SI (AR, TGSP & SAR CPL), SI (Special Protection Force), Assistant SI (Fingerprint Bureau), Station Fire Officer and Deputy Jailor: 21 to 30 years.
• Police Constable (Civil, AR & SAR CPL), Constable (Special Protection Force), Fire Fighter, Warder, Police Constable (Driver) and Police Constable (Mechanic): 18 to 27 years.

If you are eligible as per the above requirements, you may apply. Note that the upper age relaxation is available for 5 years for BC, SC, and ST. If you are above the age of 27 or 30 years but meet the educational qualification, you can age relaxation and apply to participate in recruitment drives. Notably, the date to calculate the age is July 1, 2026.

Application Fee

If you are going to apply for Telangana Police Recruitment 2026 against any position for which the required educational qualification is bachelor’s degree or intermediate, you have to pay the application fee of 1,500, the same for the position needing SSC (secondary school certificate) as minimum qualification is 1,200 rupees. 

Notably, the for individuals belonging to Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribes, is half of the original amount. Meaning you apply for any SI or related positions, you have to pay 750 rupees, and for Constable and related posts the same is 600 rupees for candidates belonging to SC or ST category.

Selection Process 

The TGPRB Recruitment 2026 selection process varies from one another for different Sub Inspector, Constable and other positions. Please go through the listed points to check the stages.

• ASI (Fingerprint Bureau): Written Exam.
• SI, Reserve SI, Station Fire Officer, Deputy Jailor, Constable, SPF Constable, Fire Fighter & Warder: Written Exam, PMT & PET, and Final Written Exam.
• Constable (Driver): Written Exam, PMT & PET, Driving Test, and Technical Written Exam.
• Constable (Mechanic): Written Exam, PMT & PET, Trade Test, and Technical Written Exam.

The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board will prepare the final selection list for the position mentioned on serial number 2 based on the final written exam score. The same for 1 on written examination, and 3 and 4 for skill test (trade or driving) and technical written examination.

Pay Scale 

After appointment, you will get a salary based on the Pay level. Notably, the basic pay for SI, Reserve SI, Station Fire Officer & Deputy Jailol start from ₹42,300, the same for ASI is ₹33,750 and Police Constable, Fire Fighter & Warder (including Driver, Mechanic and SPF Constable) is ₹24,280. The salary you will get includes basic pay, dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and other benefits, after deducting taxes and pension.
