On July 10, 2026, the Karnataka Examination Authority released the notifications for recruitment of Village Accountant, which is also known as Village Administrative Officer and Grama Aadalitha Adhikari, under the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka, against a total number of 572 vacancies, including 505 for Residual Parent Cadre (RPC) and 67 for Kalyana Karnataka (KK) Cadre (Article 371J), whose breakdown is inside the table.

Eligibility Criteria
If you want to apply for the Karnataka Village Accountant Recruitment 2026, you must meet the eligibility criteria that we have shared below.
- You must have passed the 2nd Pre-University Course (PUC) examination from a KSEAB-recognised school, and
- You shouldn’t be younger than 18 years or older than 42 years.
If you are above the age of 40 years, you can claim the age relaxation, which is 3 years for Categories 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B and 5 years for SC, ST & Category I.
Application Fee
To apply for the KEA Village Accountant Recruitment 2026, it is mandatory for the candidate to pay the application fee. Refer to the table below to check what you are required to pay.

Selection Process
The selection process for recruitment of village accountants under the Karnataka Revenue Department consists of two stages:
- Kannada Language Test
- Written Examination
- Document Verification
The KLT is applicable for the applicants who do not have Kannada as a language subject at the secondary school certificate level. The Karnataka Examination Authority will prepare the final selection list based on candidates’ performance in the written examination.
Exam Date
The Karnataka Examination Authority is yet to confirm the date for the written examination; they will confirm it shortly after the closure of the application form window. There’s a high speculation that the KEA will conduct it in the last quarter of 2026. Once they have announced it, we will update here.
Exam Pattern
The KEA will conduct the written examination in offline mode using the OMR sheet, which is set to consist of two papers; there will be 100 MCQs in each, whose details are inside the table.

Each question carries a weightage of 1 mark, and there’s also a negative marking provision of ¼, meaning for each incorrect response, they will deduct 0.25 marks.
