Meghalaya Civil Defence & Home Guard Eligibility Criteria 2024
Eligibility criteria for the post of Sub-Inspector, Guardsman, Driver and Non-Combatant Employee, in terms of educational qualification and age limit are available below for each post.
- Sub-Inspector:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized University or Institution.
- Age Limit: Applicants must be between 20 to 27 years of age as of March 15, 2024.
- Guardsman and Equivalent Ranks:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Class IX.
- Age Limit: The age of applicants should be between 18 to 27 years as of March 15, 2024.
- Driver:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class IX and hold a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) or Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license issued by the competent authority.
- Age Limit: Applicants should be between 18 to 32 years old as of March 15, 2024.
- Non-Combatant Employee (NCE):
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed Class V.
- Age Limit: The age of applicants should be between 18 to 32 years as of March 15, 2024.
There is a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories.
