Applicants who want to obtain an SET certificate for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor can submit their online application form for TS SET 2024 between 14th May to 2nd July 2024.

After the notification for TS SET 2024 is released by OU, Hyderabad, the application window will be available on the official web portal at https://telanganaset.org/ from 14 May 2024, all eligible candidates will be able to submit their online application by submitting the required detailed, documents and fee. TS SET Eligibility Criteria 2024
The details regarding the eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit for the Telangana State State Eligibility Test 2024 are given below.
- Educational Qualification: A candidate who has completed any Masters degree with minimum of 55% marks, minimum retirement for reserve candidates is only 50%.
- Age Limit: There is no lower or upper age limit to appear in this exam.
Those candidates who are in the final year of Masters degree i.e. they have taken the examination and are waiting for the declaration of the result are also eligible to appear in the Telangana State Eligibility Test 2024.
TS SET 2024 Application Fee
To participate in Telangana State State Eligibility 2024, a candidate has to deposit the amount of ₹2,000/-, if the candidate belongs to the General category; for the Backward Class and Economically Weaker Section, the application fee amount is only ₹1,500; and for Scheduled Tribes/Caste, Physically Handicapped and Transgender candidates the application fee is only ₹1,000.
TS SET 2024 Exam Date
OU, Hyderabad will conduct the TS SET 2024 on 28, 29, 30 and 31 August 2024 through OMR sheet in offline mode on various exam centres. Those who will apply to participate in the exam, they will have to be available at the exam centre one and a half hours before the commencement of the exam, along with a physical copy of hall ticket and photo identity card.
TS SET 2024 Exam Pattern
The details of the exam pattern of Telangana State State Eligibility Test 2024 are given below.
- Mode: The exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based).
- Duration: The exam is held in one session, with a duration of 3 hours for each paper.
- Papers: There are two papers:
- Paper-I: Consists of 50 compulsory objective type questions, each carrying 2 marks.
- Paper-II: Consists of 100 compulsory objective type questions, each carrying 2 marks.
- Total Marks:
- Paper-I: 100 marks
- Paper-II: 200 marks
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries 2 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Sections:
- Paper-I: Questions assess reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness.
- Paper-II: Based on the subject selected by the candidate, covering the entire syllabus.
- Medium: The exam is conducted in English and Telugu languages.
