HPSC HCS 2024 Exam Date 

Haryana Civil Services 2024 exam will be held by the HPSC in offline mode with an exam time duration of 02 hours for each Paper I and II on February 11, 2024, candidates need to know that the exam will be held in offline mode.

To apply online for the HPSC HCS 2023, you have to go through the step-by-step instructions below.

  • Navigate to the official Haryana Public Service Commission website by visiting at https://hpsc.gov.in/.
  • Look for the section related to HSC 2024 Exam on the website and complete the registration process.
  • Log in to your account using the provided fields, entering your Application Number and Date of Birth as required.
  • Fill in details, including your basic information and educational qualifications, and go to the next page.
  • Upload the required documents, including a photograph and signature in prescribed size and format.
  • Proceed to make the payment for the application fee and submit the form.

HPSC HCS 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for the Haryana Civil Services 2024 in terms of educational qualification and age limit are as follows.

Education Qualification

  • An individual must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree from the UGC recognised university.

Age Limit 

  • The minimum and maximum age limit to sit the HPSC HCS 2024 exam is 21 and 42 years, respectively as of January 01, 2023.
  • Note: The upper age limit for the post DSP in 27 years.

HPSC HCS 2024 Application Fee

To apply online for the Haryana Civil Services 2024 Exam, an individual will have to pay the application fee of ₹1000/-, if he belongs to General category or residential of any other State using the debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI.

Male or Female candidates, who belong to Other Backward Class, Schedule Tribes, Scheduled Caste, Economically Weaker Section, etc, will have to pay ₹250/- only, and whole PH (Physical Handicapped) aspirants are exempted from this fee.

HPSC HCS 2024 Selection Process

Selection process for Haryana Civil Services 2024 Exam consists of three stages, which are Prelims, Mains and Interview.

Prelims

  • Marks: 200
  • Papers : 2 – General Studies Paper and CSAT Paper (qualifying) with a need to score 33% marks in the CSAT paper.
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 for each wrong answer.
  • Mode of Exam: Offline 
  • Question Type: MCQs
  • Duration: 2 Hours (Each Paper)

Mains:

  • Marks: 600
  • Question Type: Descriptive type exam with five conventional essay-type question papers.
  • Papers: 4 – English (Including Essay), Hindi (Including Essay), General Studies & Optional Subjects
  • Mode: Offline
  • Duration: 03 Hours (Each Paper)
  • Negative Marking: No

Interview:

  • Marks: 75

Note: No candidate will be called unless they get 45% marks in the aggregate of main written question papers and 33% marks in Hindi and English question papers. Final selection list will be prepared on the basis of candidates performance in the Mains and Interview for appointment.
