The Directorate of Education has announced that Delhi EWS admission 2024-25 begins. Under the RTE act, the private schools in Delhi must reserve 25% of seats for Economically weaker Sections (EWS), and disadvantaged groups, and 3% out of 25% for children with special needs (CWSNs) in entry-level classes to ensure every child gets a basic education.
Previously, the Delhi High Court revamped the annual income limit for Delhi EWS admissions from ₹1 lakh to ₹2.5 lakh, leading to several people becoming eligible to apply for Delhi EWS admission.
According to the admission criteria released by the Directorate of Education, there are a total of 1736 schools available for the Delhi EWS admissions. The selection of applicants’ children will commence based on a computerized lottery system and the authority will announce the results.

Eligibility for Delhi EWS Admission 2024-25
Parents who wish to send their child to the national capital unaided private schools must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the Delhi EWS Admission:
Residence:
- The child must be a national capital resident.
Age limit:
- The age limit for pre-school or nursery admission is 3 to 5 years for EWS & DG and 3 to 7 years for CWSN children.
- The age limit for the KG class is 4 to 6 years for the EWS & DG group and 4 to 8 years for CWSN children.
- The age limit for Class is 5 to 7 years for EWS & DG groups and 5 to 9 years for CWSN children applicants.
Income Limit:
- The income limit of parents should be under ₹1 lakh for the 2024-25 EWS Admission though the Delhi high court has revised the income limit to ₹2.5 lakh.

The parents would need the following documents to apply for the Delhi EWS admission for the 2024-25 session for pre-primary to class 1:

- Next, click on the Registration link for Delhi EWS admissions for 2024-25.
- Now, register yourself on the portal through the required details, such as mobile number, email ID, etc.
