Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a Master’s degree or equivalent degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
  • Candidates enrolled in MSc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BE/ BTech/ BPharma/ MBBS as of the last date of application are also eligible to apply under the Result Awaited (RA) category.
  • BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) or those enrolled in an integrated MS-PhD program with the same percentage criteria are eligible.
  • Candidates possessing only a Bachelor’s degree are eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) only, not Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor.

Age Limit:

  • For JRF: The upper age limit is 28 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST/Third gender/PwD/female applicants (up to 5 years) and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants (up to 3 years).
  • For Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit.
