Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has released a notification about the student’s admission into Higher Secondary First year in different institutions under AHSEC. Assam HS Admission 2024
The AHSEC started the HS first-year admission to allow students who have cleared the HSLC examinations to get admission to HS first-year (class XI) at any AHSEC institution. The vision of this program is to motivate and achieve more admission activities in the state.
This year, Assam HS 1 year admission notification is out on 22 April 2024, and the application process has already begun on 23 April 2024. Students who still haven’t applied for the Assam HS Admission 2024 should apply quickly, as the last date to apply is 2 May 2024.
Students who have passed the 2024 HSLC examinations can apply for the HS 1 year Admission in different institutions through the DARPAN online admission portal. With the Darpan platform, students can gain admission in the Science, Arts, and Commerce stream at various AHSEC institutions digitally.

Important dates for Assam HS 1st Year Admission 2024
The council will verify the applications of all the students and institutions and prepare the merit list by the institutions, followed by the selection list & waiting list publication that will stay valid up to 10 May 2024.

Steps to apply for the Assam HS Admission 2024
Students can apply on the Darpan portal in the following steps to avoid any mistakes:
- Go to the AHSEC Darpan portal at https://darpan.ahseconline.in/
- Next, click on the “Student Admission” tab.
- Now, enter your 10-digit mobile number, DOB, and 4-digit PIN if you have already registered on the portal as a student.
- If you are a new user, then proceed to the new registration and enter all the asked details, such as your Board, 10th passing year, Roll no., Marks obtained in the 10th standard, and so on.
- After you get your Digital pin login into the portal as a student and access the Assam 2024 HS admission form.
- Now, you should select your desired institutions/schools and stream in the application form. Remember, you can only choose five institutions as your choice.
- Next, submit all the details after reviewing it and take a printout of the final application form for future purposes.
The council will notify the selected students through SMS with the information of the admission granted admission. The admission will only be confirmed after the students accept the admission offer within the designated deadline
Important instructions for Students applying for Assam HS Admission 2024
The Council has given the following instructions for the students applying for the 2024 HS first-year admission:
- In case of any mistake, the profile of the students will be edited only once.
- The council will publish the selection list, where students will get one institute approval for admission, which they cannot change.
- The students can’t change the affiliated institutions, but they can change the subjects during admission.
