Indian Army Agniveer Vacancy 2024

India Army will release the notification brochure for recruitment of around 25,000 vacancies for various posts of Agniveer, aspirants need to know that exact number of vacancies for each post with reservation details for UR, OBC, SC,  EWS, etc, will be made public officially later.

Indian Army Agniveer Eligibility Criteria 2024

Eligibility criteria for the post of Agniveer under the Indian Army in terms of educational qualification age limit are available below.

Educational institution:

  • Agniveer (GD): One must have passed the Matriculation exam with 45% marks from a recognised board.
  • Agniveer (Technical): One must have passed Intermediate exam with Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
  • Agniveer (Technical Aviation & Ammunition Examiner): One must have passed Intermediate exam and possess a ITI Trade centre from SCVT/NCVT’s recognised institution.
  • Agniveer Clerk: One must have passed the Intermediate exam Science, Commerce or Arts with 60% marks, and additionally he or she has typing skill.
  • Agniveer Store Keeper (Technical): One must have passed the Intermediate exam with at least 60% marks.
  • Agniveer Tradesman: One must have passed Middle School Examination (Class 8) or Matriculation Exam (Class 10) from a recognised board.

Age Limit:

  • One’s age must not be below 17.5 years and above 23 years, and there will be upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per Government of India’s rule.

Indian Army Agniveer Application Fee 2024

To apply online for recruitment of Agniveer in Indian Army and sit the Computer Based Test, an individual will have to pay the fee, which is likely to ₹250 for year 2024 for all candidates, aspirants will be able to pay the required amount through the debit or credit card.

Physical details for the post of Agniveer under the Indian Army are listed below.

  • 1.6 Km Run:
    • Group 1: Up till 5 Min 30 Secs, Marks: 60
    • Group 2: 5 min 31 sec to 5 min 45 sec, Marks: 48
  • Beam (Pull-Ups):
    • Group 1: 10 Pull-Ups, Marks: 40
    • Group 2:
      1. 9 Pull-Ups, Marks: 33
      2. 8 Pull-Ups, Marks: 27
      3. 7 Pull-Ups, Marks: 21
      4. 6 Pull-Ups, Marks: 16
  • 9 Feet Ditch:
    • Qualification needed for all groups.
  • Zig-Zag Balance:
    • Qualification needed for all groups.
  • Agniveer (GD):
    • Height: 170 cm
    • Chest: 77 cm + 5 cm Expansion
  • Agniveer (Clerk/ Store Keeper/ Technical):
    • Height: 162 cm
    • Chest: 77 cm + 5 cm Expansion
  • Tradesman (10th/ 8th Pass):

Indian Army Exam Pattern 2024

General Duty:

  • Passing Marks: 35
  • Marking Scheme: 2 marks for each correct answer
  • Negative Marking: 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer
  • Subjects and Marks:
    • General Knowledge: 30 marks
    • General Science: 30 marks
    • Maths: 30 marks
    • Logical Reasoning: 10 marks
  • Total Questions: 50, Total Marks: 100

Technical:

  • Passing Marks: 80
  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct answer
