The APPSC has released a notification for the recruitment of Forest Range Officers under the Forest Services. APPSC Forest Range Officer Vacancy 2024
As per the notification released officially by the APPSC at https://psc.ap.gov.in/, there are a total number of 37 vacancies for the post of Forest Range Officer under Andhra Pradesh Forest Department.
Candidates need to know that out of total vacancies, 8, 11, 10 and 8 are reserved for Zone I, II, III and IV, respectively, you may club the name of the district under the different zone from the below.
- Zone-I: Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Visakhapatnam. (SKM, VZM, VSP)

APPSC Forest Range Officer Eligibility Criteria 2024
Eligibility for the post of Forest Range Officer under AP Forest Services in terms of educational qualification, age limit and physical standard is available below.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in subjects such as Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Applications, Engineering, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, or Zoology
- Age Limit: One must be between 18 and 30 years old as of July 1, 2024. However, SC, ST, BCs, and EWS candidates are eligible for age relaxation of up to 5 years.
- Physical Standard: Men must be 163 cm tall with a chest of 79 cm (expiration) and walk 25 km in 4 hours; women must be 150 cm tall with a chest of 74 cm (expiration) and walk 16 km in 4 hours.

Selection process for the post of Forest Range Officer under Andhra Pradesh Forest Services consists of two stages, which are Screening Test and Mains.
