TNAU has dozens of colleges affiliated to it. If you also want to get admission in any college for any UG agriculture or fisheries courses, then you must know that the window is going to be available very soon on the official website. The window for applying will remain open for about 2 to 3 weeks, during which all eligible candidates will be able to submit their online application form.

  • Educational Qualification: Dependent on the chosen course, requiring specific subjects in the 10+2 examination.

TNAU UG Eligibility Criteria 2024

To get admission for undergraduate Agriculture or Fisheries Courses in various colleges of TN Agriculture University, a student must match the eligibility criteria, details regarding which are given below in terms of educational qualification and age limit.

Education Qualification:

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, B.Sc. (Hons.) Sericulture, B.Tech. (Biotechnology), B.Sc. (Hons.) Agri-Business Management, B.Tech. (Bioinformatics): Applicants must have studied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany and Zoology) in their qualifying examination (10+2).
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Food, Nutrition and Dietetics: Candidates should have completed their qualifying examination (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany and Zoology).
  • B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Energy and Environmental Engineering), B.Tech. (Agricultural Information Technology): Candidates should have studied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their qualifying examination (10+2). Alternatively, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science / Informatics practices are also acceptable.

Age Limit:

  • The age of the student should not be more than 21 years as on 1st July 2024, for physically handicapped candidates the upper age reduction is 5 years.
  • There is no upper age limit for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Caste – Arunthathiyars (SCA), and Scheduled Tribes (ST).

The admission procedure for TNAU UG Agriculture & Fisheries 2024-25 consists of three stages, which are Registration, Seat Allotment and College Reporting; get the detailed information about each from below.

  • Registration: Candidates apply online during the registration period, providing personal details, academic records, and uploading necessary documents.
  • Seat Allotment: TNAU allocates seats based on merit, reservation, and preferences submitted during registration.
  • College Reporting: Candidates report to their allotted college within the specified time, submit original documents for verification, and pay the admission fee to confirm their seat.

What are required documents for TNAU UG Admission 2024?

Documents which are required to get admission for UG agriculture or fisheries courses at any college of Tamil Nadu Agriculture University are as follows.

  • 10th Mark sheet / Birth Certificate (Proof of Birth)
  • 12th Mark sheet
  • Community Certificate
  • Nativity Certificate (for Tamil Nadu natives who studied 10th, 11th, and 12th outside the state)
  • First Graduate Certificate (for those applying for First Graduate Fee Concession)
  • Certificate of Proof for studying in State Government Schools of Tamil Nadu from VI to XII standard (if applicable)
  • Signed Application Form.
