NHB Notification 2023-24
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the recruitment notification for the National Horticulture Board (NHB). This recruitment drive aims to fill 44 vacancies, including 19 positions for Deputy Directors and 25 for Senior Horticulture Officers.

NHB Eligibility Criteria 2023
Eligibility criteria for these two posts under the NHB in terms of educational qualification and age limit are as follows.
Educational Qualification —
- Deputy Director: Must have passed Graduation in Horticulture, Agriculture, Post Harvest Technology, Agriculture Economics, Agriculture Engineering, Post Harvest Management, Food Technology, or Food Science. Additionally, candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Senior Horticulture Officer: Must have passed Graduation in Horticulture, Agriculture, Post Harvest Technology, Agriculture Economics, Agriculture Engineering, Food Technology, or Food Science.
Age Limit —
- Deputy Director: An individual’s age must not be below 18 and above 40 years as of January 05, 2024.
- Senior Horticulture Officer: One’s age must be between 18 and 30 years as of January 05, 2024.
Note: There will be upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per government rules.
NHB Application Fee 2023
To apply online for the recruitment of Deputy Director (Group A) and Senior Horticulture Officer (Group B) under the National Horticulture Board (NHB), an individual will have to pay the application fee of 1000 or 500 rupees, if one belongs to UR/OBC/EWS or SC/ST, respectively.
Note: PWD i.e. Person with Disability candidates won’t have to pay a single rupee, they are exempted from it.
