Bihar Fireman Eligibility Criteria 2024

Eligibility criteria for the post of Fireman in terms of educational qualification and age limit is available below, go through the listed points and check the details regarding it.

  • Educational Qualification: One must have completed Intermediate (10+2) with any stream such as Science, Commerce or Arts or obtained a Maulavi/Shastri certificate from the Madrasa/Sanskrit Board of Bihar State Government.
  • Age Limit: A candidate’s age shouldn’t be below 18 and above 25 years, and there will be upper age relaxation for 3 and 5 years for OBC and SC/ST, respectively.

Bihar Fireman Selection Process 2024

Written Examination:

  1. Mode of Exam: Written Test is conducted in offline mode (OMR-based).
  2. Duration: The duration of the written exam is 2 hours (120 minutes).
  3. Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are asked in the exam.
  4. Total Questions: There are 100 questions in total.
  5. Total Marks: The exam is for 100 marks.
  6. Marking Scheme: Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
  7. Sections: The written test covers the following subjects:

      2. Females: 1 km in maximum 5 minutes.

      1. Males: Throw a 16-pound shot put to a minimum distance of 16 feet.
      2. Females: Throw a 12-pound shot put to a minimum distance of 12 feet.
    • Long Jump:
      1. Males: Minimum 4 feet.
      2. Females: Minimum 3 feet.
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST):
  • Height:
    1. Unreserved and BC Males: 165 cm.
    2. EBC Males, SC/ST Males, and All Category Females: 160 cm.
  • Chest (Contraction-Expansion):
    1. Unreserved and BC Males, EBC Males: 81-86 cm.
