The School Education and Sports Department, Maharashtra has opened the application portal to apply for the First Year Junior College for 2024-25. Interested candidates can read the article to learn about the admission process, eligibility, application process, and other relevant FYJC admission details.

FYJC Admission 2024-25

The School Education and Sports Department of Maharashtra conducts an online admission process for XI class admissions in recognized Junior colleges affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board in five regions of Maharashtra. 

The five regions of Maharashtra include Mumbai, Nagpur, Amravati, Pune, and Nashik, where online first-year junior college admissions are going on. The junior colleges affiliated with the Maharashtra board are classified as aided, unaided self-financed, and partially aided junior colleges.

The candidates must apply for the online admission process to pursue higher education in Maharashtra Board. 

The candidates can register for the commencement of the admission process from 24 July 2024 till the last date is published by the authority. 

According to the latest update the application and option form will commence from 5 June 2024. The candidates must submit the option form before 16 June 2024.

Eligibility for the FYJC Admission 2024-25

Candidates can check their eligibility for the FYJC admission application from the below eligibility criteria:

  • Students who have cleared their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Class X or equivalent course from the recognized board can apply for the FYJC admission.
  • Candidates looking for admission to other boards cannot apply for this admission process. 

FYJC 2024-25 Admission Process

The FYJC Admission process can be done in the following two ways: 

  • CAP (Centralized Admission Process) Seats where admissions are done through seat allotment in various rounds.
  • Quota Seats: Admissions at Jr. college level reserved seats through various quotas, such as Management Quota (5%), Inhouse Quota (10%), and Minority Quota (50%).

Candidates need to follow the following admission process for the FYJC admission:

  • The candidates seeking admission in any of the streams of Junior Colleges must register for the admission process through online registration before the declaration of SSC results.
  •  The Part 2 form of the CAP admissions and Quota Admissions will be available on the official website from 5 June 2024 to 16 June 2024. 
  • After the preference form submission, the seat allocation will be processed based on merit, reservation, and preferences filled by the candidates in the application form.  

Documents Required for the FYJC Admission 2024-25

Students seeking admission in Class XI through the Online admission process in Maharashtra Board-affiliated Junior colleges need the following documents in hand:

  • Class 10th Marksheet and SLC certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Minority certificate (if applicable)
  • Sports Certificate (if applicable)
  • EWS certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
  • Other relevant certificates that support your claim in the application.

Steps to apply for the FYJC Admission 2024-25

Students wishing to enroll in FYJC through the online admission process must have already registered for the FYJC admission on the portal, now they have to submit the preference form. 

The students can fill out the FYJC admission form in the following steps:

Online Registration:

  •  Go to the official website for the 11th admission at https://11thadmission.org.in/
  • Next, choose a region you wish to apply for the Junior College admission. 
  • Now, click on Student Registration, select the 10th School area, applicant’s status, and 10th board, and enter other asked details. 
  • Next, create your password and click on Register to complete your registration and receive the login credentials. 

Part 1 of the admission form:

  • Now, login to the portal through your login credentials and access the application form.
  • Next, fill out the application form, your details will be automatically transmitted to the portal when you enter your SSC seat number. 
  •  Next, upload the relevant documents supporting your reservation and claims. 
  • Next, choose the nearest guidance center to verify your form, however, students who have their form auto-verified can go further without verification at the Guidance Center. 

Part 2 Form: 

  • After the verification of the application form, the candidates can now move up to fill out the preference form. 
  • Login to the portal and select your stream and medium of instructions for the application.
  • Next, set your preferences in colleges from one to ten Junior Colleges. 
  • Next, take a printout of the submitted application and Preference form for future use. 

The authorities will publish the merit list of Part 2 verified students between 18 June 2024 and 21 June 2024. The allotment list for the round I will publish on 26 June 2024 and the confirmation of the allotted seats must be submitted by 29 June 2024. 

The Authority has released the full schedule of the online admission process on the official website, the CAP and quota admissions will be held simultaneously, so make sure you timely apply for the admission.
